Emergencies:
For life-threatening emergencies, please call 911 and ask to be taken to the Emergency Room at your
local hospital. After the ambulance is called, you may contact the
office or physician on call (see below) to inform them of the situation.
If you are unable to do this, the Emergency Room staff should be asked
to contact us after they evaluate you.
Urgent Issues:
During office hours, call (617) 658-6000
to reach the staff . Ask to speak to the
nursing staff: They will contact your physician after they speak to
you.
During evenings, weekends and holidays
when the office is closed, the (617) 658-6000 phone number will reach
our answering service who will page the physician on call for you. They will ask you for a brief reason for your call, the name of your
regular oncologist, and your phone number including the area code.
This information is put directly into the beeper of the physician-on-call
and is very helpful. If you do not receive a call back from the physician,
please call the answering service a second time and ask for the page
to be repeated.
Routine Issues:
If you have questions regarding your appointment, upcoming diagnostic tests or need to relate a message to the nurses or to your physician, please call our main number (617) 658-6000 and ask for the administrative assistant who supports your physician.
