To celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of the Vernon Cancer Center at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, the success of the first annual HopeWalks event. HopeWalks benefited the Integrative Support Services offered at the Vernon Cancer Center. These life-enhancing services help cancer patients through treatment while optimizing healing and comfort. Newton-Wellesley Hospital wants to make these services available to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. HopeWalks is a 3.5 mile walk that begins and ends at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. All ages are welcome. Start a team, join a team, walk as an individual, or participate as a "virtual walker." Register for 2011's HopeWalk to send a strong message of HOPE!
SAVE THE DATE!!! The second annual HopeWalks will take place on Sunday, September 25, 2011. Online registration will begin in May 2011.

With over 1,400 participants, 108 teams, and 80+ volunteers, HopeWalks has raised more than $270,000 for the Integrative Support Services at the Vernon Cancer Center.
