New England Hematology / Oncology Associates, P.C. (NEHOA) recognizes that patients have become more educated about their medical conditions and much stronger advocates for their own health.  Because of this, many patients now want access to certain elements of their medical record - particularly the lab and radiology results that are now available on Patient Gateway.

Please be aware that much of the information you can now access through Patient Gateway that relate to hematology or oncology diagnoses requires interpretation by your provider.  So, while you are free to access this information via Patient Gateway should you so choose, please be advised that you use that information at your own risk.

NEHOA believes it is a best patient care practice for the patient and provider to discuss test and exam results in a confidential face to face manner.  Also note that we have limited availability to respond to phone calls to discuss information that patients may access from Patient Gateway.  If we are not available at the time of your call and you have already scheduled an upcoming visit, you may receive a reply requesting that we review your questions during your next visit. If you do not have another visit scheduled, we would be happy to schedule one to review your results and answer all of your questions.
